ah, it is so warm out today. got a veg wrap & ate by the river in sharon. then drove for a bit & got lost. der. how the hell did that happen. i think i know the area by now. anyway, here is list of fun stuff to think about. (i love the whole list concept.)
  • it is spring!
  • i heard some different kind of birds. i don't know what they were, but they sure were happy!
  • going to h&m on sat w/ jen, bella, & sarah.(sisters & neice) finally getting some clothes.
  • going to nyc w/ chelsey next weekend. i want to have a picnic in the central park under one of the giant trees
  • thought about treehouses today. that's always a fun time.
  • tomorrow is friday!

okay, that's all she wrote today. love much.

Sun is good. I can feel my body coming back to life after being hulled up all winter.

H&M is good too - love that store!

ahh, i love squarepusher.. i almost bought a pair of jeans for 90 bucks the other day, which normally would have been fine, cause they fit great, but sometimes i hate giving in to the boutique prices and james talked me out of it.. i do love em though.. maybe when im feeling richer....stupid jeans

so there is a music series, and tonight is "music under the oaks." the CofC orchestra plays at the Cistern yard, under large hanging oak trees and blooming flora. They will be playing, Rossini, Saint-Saens, Faure, mozart, and debussy! aaaah SPRING IS HERE! i wish they would do stravinsky's rite of spring but that might be a bit too hardcore for these hoddy toddy charlestonians. i am a fan of fresh air and classical music, and am incredibly romantic about the idea of sitting outside on a blanket, maybe with a sketch pad to catch this. its tonight at 4pm. ITS FREE! only thing, is i would be going alone. everyone is busy. i could ask carrie balch to come but quite honestly i cannot tolerate much more baby talk. GEESH WE GET IT your pregnant! classical music and complaining constant belly rubbing do not mix. i actually have a great time by myself. and for a minute the other side of me teased " la-hooo-ser!" you know what i will be surrounded by like minded individuals so maybe i will make some new friends. i wish you girls could go with me. it sucks when your girlfriends live so damn far away!

coyotes & owls are howling outside. so noisy. funny how sirens in the city keep me awake, but beasts outside put me to sleep. same thing really.

Teneisha R. S. Jones said...

funny cause im the opposite kate. When i go home i stay up half teh night scared outa my wits cause of stupid crickets and shit.

Anonymous said...

isn't that funny how it's really the same? i mean, if you think about it...your beasts are just made of metal and such.

it's true.

All the modern things
Like cars and such
Have always existed

They've just been waiting in a mountain
For the right moment

Listening to the irritating noises
Of dinosaurs and people
Dabbling outside

All the modern things
Have always existed
They've just been waiting

To come out
And multiply
And take over

It's their turn now...
bjork- modern things....

bjork knows what's up.

Has anyone seen Dancer in the Dark? I hear it's good but seriously depressing.

Anonymous said...

oh i havent but really want to. everyone said it was depressing but moved you in such a way that it is worth the tears.
i would still like to watch it, and had forgot about it till you mentioned it.

Anonymous said...

we can watch together when you are all home maybe? go to the chelsmaster's house? then sarah's roof. then to park for late nite wine and general misbehaving?

cg said...

Ooo! sounds like a grand plan. Good to have an uplifting post movie agenda. I'm in.
